ATLANTA (AP) — A pregnant woman in Georgia was declared brain-dead after a medical emergency and doctors have kept her on life support for three months so far to allow enough time for the baby to be born and comply with Georgia’s strict anti-abortion law, family members say.

"In March, for instance, Accurso posted a video of two children watching a Ms. Rachel video amid rubble. The caption read: “My friends Celine and Silia in what used to be their home in Gaza. They deserve to live in a warm, safe home again.”

On Monday, Accurso posted to her Instagram account photos of a meeting she said she had last week with Rahaf, a 3-year-old girl from Gaza who lost her legs in an airstrike, and the child’s mother. The meeting was arranged through the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund."

"US district judge Patricia Giles in Alexandria, Virginia, said that the ruling was effective immediately with no conditions and no bond. She added that Khan Suri’s release was “in the public interest to disrupt the chilling effect on protected speech” during the hearing. The judge explained in her ruling how the government did not submit sufficient evidence on several of its claims."

I'm pretty sure that you can click by that and still read the full article.

OK, thanks for the heads-up.

Most of us here know that, but many others beyond the Fediverse are still not convinced. Video documentation and expert testimony of horrible crimes is often effective in changing public opinion.

Yes, it did change. But I still think that your concern is misplaced and that the Guardian's error came nowhere close to misinformation.

I should have mentioned the most important factor was the heroic struggle and sacrifice of the Vietnamese people, which did inflict many casualties on the US.

But the massive demonstrations in the US and around the world helped change the consciousness of millions, which ultimately even affected the thinking of the troops fighting in Vietnam. Many times the representatives of the NLF and DRV recognized the vital role of the US antiwar movement.

Unfortunately, both the USSR and China did not do much to help Vietnam, and Nixon was able to play them off pretty well.

Massive and sustained peaceful protests often do work, as they did against the US war in Vietnam. I can't imagine how confronting local Zionists would do anything to help Palestine be free.

Totally wasted sarcasm.

Right here. Biden's policies greatly strengthened Israel and directly helped the genocide.

Is Trump worse? I think yes. But that is still no reason to gloat or to think that endlessly supporting the lesser evil is going to produce any real changes that the world needs.

After reading further, I see your point. Sorry about that.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll look into checking for the AMP pages. (Never heard of those before, haven't done much with the web for quite a while.)
